We are searching for a talented Laboratory Assistant Sr 

 

Hours: 40hrs 

Shift: Day shift, 5:00am - 1:30pm with weekends as needed and one major and one minor Holiday.   

Location: St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA

Responsibilities

Under the general supervision of the Team Leader or Laboratory Manager or Designee, perform a variety of tasks to manage the workflow of the Laboratory Assistants in a timely and efficient manner. Perform venipunctures when needed. Respond to codes as needed. Document, add, cancel and combine tests in LIS. Monitor Laboratory Assistants� performance for input in the performance review process. Coordinate training of new staff.

Qualifications

  • Equal to the completion of four years of high school or GED is required.
  • Completion of a Phlebotomy program with national certification is required.
  • A minimum of one to three years related work experience is required.
  • National certificate in Phlebotomy is required.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

 

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience. 

Pay Range

USD $22.78 - USD $29.70 /Hr.

Rotation Schedule Requirement

Weekends as needed. One major and one minor Holiday.
