Position Overview

Southcoast Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Endocrinologist physician to join our esteemed Endocrinology & Diabetes Center consisting of 4 Physicians supported by 6 Advanced Practice Practitioners. This position is out-patient only. The successful candidate will contribute to our tradition of practice excellence and play a pivotal role in advancing patient care in our community.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose endocrine disorders such as, but not limited to diabetes, thyroid dysfunction, adrenal insufficiency, pituitary disorders, and osteoporosis in the outpatient practice setting, while developing and implementing individualized treatment plans

Monitor chronic conditions through follow up visits, adjusting treatment plans and medications as needed and coordinating care/referrals for complex cases.

Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options and lifestyle modifications.

Work with primary care providers and other specialists, such as surgeons, nephrologists, dietitians for multidisciplinary care.

Opportunity to work in multidisciplinary Osteoporosis Center of Excellence.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.

• Board certification/eligibility in Endocrinology

• Fellowship trained in Endocrinology

• Current state medical license and DEA registration.

• Demonstrated clinical excellence, patient satisfaction, and effective communication skills.
