We are searching for a talented Advanced Practice Practitioner

 

Hours: 40  7A - 5:30P

 

Shift: Day – weekend ~ every 6th weekend

                       

Location: Fall River, MA

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the Director of Cardiac Interventional Services or Designee, with oversight from the Physician Director of the Cardiac Cath Lab, perform diversified duties in the care of patients assigned under direction of individual attending physicians under the rules and regulations of Massachusetts governing Physician Assistant practice.
  • Prepare patients for discharge and care for patients in the Out-Patient Department.
  • Provide a variety of inpatient care and services under supervision of individually assigned Physician as part of daily activities.

Qualifications

  • Physician Assistant: Bachelors Degree in a related field is required.
  • Graduate of an A.M.A.-approved Physician Assistant program is required.
  • Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Physician Assistant is required.
  • Nurse Practitioner: Masters of Science Degree in Nursing is required.
  • Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Nurse Practitioner is required.
  • Current Massachusetts R.N. registration is required.
  • Nurse Practitioner Certificate/Physician Assistant Certificate is required.
  • Physician Assistant /Nurse Practitioner: Qualified in all basic and advanced cardiac support standards as set by the American Heart Association.
  • Possess the ability to care for critically ill adult patients with a broad range of medical problems.
  • Possess the maturity, self-confidence and ability to follow complex patient management plans as directed by the attending surgeon.
  • Over three years up to and including five years' experience is preferred.
  • Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants within one year of hire.
  • Qualified in all basic and advanced cardiac support standards.
  • Eligible for state and federal controlled substances registration.
