We are searching for a talented Bereavement Assistant-VNA 

 

Hours: 40hrs  

Shift: Day shift, 8:00am - 4:30pm    

Location: Visiting Nurse Association - Fairhaven, MA

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience. 

 

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Manager of Bereavement Services or designee, perform diversified duties in support of bereavement services for the Hospice Program, including but not limited to bereavement assessments, providing empathetic grief support, planning and directing bereavement activities, presenting bereavement education programs and assisting with the execution of Camp Angel Wings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in a related field (e.g. counseling, pastoral care, social work) or the equivalent knowledge and experience are required, with at least one-year experience required.
  • A minimum of three years of clinical experience in the area of loss, grief and bereavement is preferred.
  • Experience in the facilitation of support groups preferred.
  • Must possess and demonstrate highly effective interpersonal, customer service and communication skills in the context of providing effective and sensitive grief support, as well as proficiency in computer skills, including experience with various software, database and electronic records programs.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Pay Range

USD $18.54 - USD $31.20 /Hr.
