We are searching for a talented Patient Access Intake Representative

 

*$1,500 new hire sign-on bonus for this position. (rehires termed more than 1 year also eligible)*

 

Hours: 40hrs  

Shift: Day/Evening shift, 7:00am - 3:30pm/10:30am - 7:00pm/3:00pm - 11:30pm with weekend and holiday rotation  

Location: Tobey Hospital - Wareham, MA

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience. 

 

Responsibilities

Under general direction of the Manager, Patient Access and supervision of the Team Leader, Patient Access or designee, perform a wide variety of duties to facilitate patient access throughout the organization. Insure patient compliance with applicable hospital policy and obtain accurate patient information to insure patient safety and optimal reimbursement to the organization in accordance with various external regulations. Determine and actively collect patient liabilities.

Qualifications

  • Equal to completion of four years of high school plus additional courses or training required; Associates Degree preferred.
  • Medical Terminology Certificate required.
  • Demonstrated communication & interpersonal skills are required.
  • Strong computer skills including medical based programs required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel, and other software programs is preferred.
  • Three (3) years related health care experience including working with third party payers is required.
  • CHAM (Certified Healthcare Access Manage) or CHAA (Certified Healthcare Access Associate) preferred. 
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Pay Range

USD $17.59 - USD $26.86 /Hr.
