We are searching for a talented Service Representative

 

Hours: 40hrs  

Shift: Day shift, 8:00am - 4:30pm   

Location: Cancer Center - Fairhaven, MA

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience. 

 

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Director, Oncology Operations, perform various duties in support of the Cancer Center including but not limited to: providing a high level of customer service by interacting with patients, visitors and staff in a professional manner that is proactive, friendly and helpful, actively assess and respond to patients, visitors and staff needs, work collaboratively and effectively with other department staff, respect patient privacy and communicate information in a clear, effective and empathetic manner that reflects Southcoasts standards of service and care, demonstrate a positive approach to challenges and teamwork, possess strong communications skills and demonstrate the ability to handle multiple priorities with attention to detail and demonstrate courtesy consistently to diverse populations including patients and visitors, physicians and other members of the health care team, and other staff.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required plus additional related courses; Associates Degree preferred.
  • Bachelors Degree in a hospitality field considered in lieu of work experience.
  • Demonstrated skills in active listening, problem solving and the ability to remain calm in an emotional or stressful situation.
  • Position requires empathetic, respectful and positive customer relations behaviors and effective communication with patients, clinical staff members, and physicians.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred; must become familiar with all aspects of the Cancer Center operations within the context of Southcoast Health System services.
  • Computer skills required with Microsoft Word, Outlook required.
  • Bilingual in Portuguese or Spanish preferred. Over five years experience in a customer service or hospitality position required.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Pay Range

USD $15.95 - USD $25.76 /Hr.
