We are searching for a talented Recovery Coach

 

Hours: 40hrs

Shift:  Day/Evening shift; 2:00 pm to 10:30 PM 

Location: St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience. 

 

 

Position report to the Executive Director of Behavioral Health or designee. Work as a member of a multi-disciplinary psychiatric clinical liaison team, and in collaboration with Medical Services, to promote patient autonomy and empowerment, address barriers to support treatment recommendations and optimal disposition for patients with a range of substance use and behavioral health concerns. Facilitate the coordination of community resources to meet the patient's plan of care. Assist patients with access to necessary social, mental health, and substance and behavioral health programs.

 

• Must be culturally competent and have thorough knowledge of the communities being served.
• Two years' experience working with substance use and behavioral health patients.
• Proven ability for independent decision making, problem solving, and effectively utilize supervision while performing as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
• Solid knowledge of community resources and effective relapse prevention/recovery skills.
• Must have basic competency with computer skills.
• Experience with Outlook and EMR is preferred.
• Recovery Coach certificate preferred but not required.

• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
