We are searching for a talented Advanced Practice Practitioner 

 

Hours:  MULTIPLE POSITIONS:

32 & 24-hour positions – varying shift times @ 8A – 4:30P or 2P – 10P

40-hour position 7on/7off

 

Shift:  Day/ Evening with weekend & holiday rotation

 

Location:  Fall River, MA – Charlton Memorial Hospital – Observation Unit - with ability to rotate to St. Luke’s Hospital, New Bedford, MA as program develops across both sites.

Responsibilities

  • Under the general supervision and direction of the Physician, Office Manager, or designee, conduct hospital rounds as directed by individually assigned Physician.
  • Perform initial histories, physicals, consultations and follow-up care visits which may require laboratory testing, radiology testing, and/or immunizations.
  • Formulate diagnoses based on clinical assessments and establish appropriate/ timely treatment plans.

Qualifications

  • Physician Assistant: Bachelors Degree in a related field is required. Graduate of an A.M.A.-approved Physician Assistant program is required. Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Physician Assistant is required.
  • Nurse Practitioner: Masters of Science Degree in Nursing is required. Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Nurse Practitioner is required. Current Massachusetts R.N. registration is required. Nurse Practitioner Certificate/Physician Assistant Certificate is required.
  • One year experience required.
  • Current Massachusetts Nursing Practitioner License or Physician Assistant License is required.
