We are searching for a talented Medication History Technician 

 

Hours: 40hrs

Shift: Day/Evening Shift, 11:00am - 7:30pm, 7:00am - 3:30pm, 3:30pm - 12:00am with weekend and holiday rotation

Location: Charlton Memorial Hospital - Fall River, MA

Responsibilities

Under the direction of a Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician performs pharmacy-related functions, in compliance with department policies and procedures that provide optimal pharmaceutical care. The Pharmacy Technician filling this role will work mainly in the emergency room, working with patients who will be admitted to the hospital in order to collect an accurate home medication list.  The technician will need to compare this information to the existing information in our electronical medical record and make any necessary changes.  This is a critical role, as the home medication list is used to order medications for the patient once they are admitted to the nursing unit.  The pharmacy technician will be working with physicians, nurses, and patients in collaboration.

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or the equivalent is required.
  • Additional clinical course work or training is preferred.
  • Massachusetts state registration as a Pharmacy Technician is required.
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certification is required within 18 months of hire.
  • One year of related work experience is required; three years is preferred.
  • A valid drivers license is required.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Pay Range

USD $17.80 - USD $27.00 /Hr.

Rotation Schedule Requirement

Every third weekend, every 3rd holiday
