We are searching for a talented Electrician-Fire Alarm Technician

 

Hours: 40hrs

Shift: Day shift with call, 7:00am - 3:30pm, weekend and holiday rotation

Location: St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA

Travel: This position requires travel between systems sites

Responsibilities

Under direction of the Director, Engineering & Facilities or designee, perform diversified duties pertaining to the installation, troubleshooting and repair of fire alarms, nurse call and security systems through assigned Southcoast Health System facilities. Maintain all appropriate related logs and records and assure compliance with all Federal, State, Local and other regulatory agencies within scope of own position responsibilities. Duties require work on all shifts, weekends and holidays as operationally necessary.

Qualifications

  • Equal to completion of 4 years of high school plus additional specialized courses or training is required.
  • A Licensed Electrician B or MA D Fire Alarm License are required; NICET level 3 certification is preferred.
  • Manufacturers training in Fire Alarm, Nurse Call and Security Systems and experience in performing and documenting a preventive maintenance program is preferred.
  • Three (3) years of related work experience is required.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired. 

Pay Range

USD $24.72 - USD $41.19 /Hr.
